Here we go…
Note : along the way you will see the evolving screen resolution..
First Tempest Spine Fun, Synchronized simming in the flooded tunnels.
Next we go to Guild Headquarter : ( with the first hints that my graphic card was going to fry )
First VON ( wipe ) :
First VON ( succcess ) :
I’ll conclude with a sad moment, the passing of a Carlton :
At that time when found out your character was not working as intended the only solution was reroll…
Edit : I’m doing something wrong with the tags… I can’t get the pictures to display even with the two spaces 🙁
I fixed them, remember to use
Anyone capture the moment(s) Honor left the spellswords (hmm anyone know if the name Sanity is taken….)
This is a great thread Flav.
Its impressive to see that the Swords have a six year heritage
Im assuming you were capped and these were the ‘endgame’ raids for the time? Was TS difficult back then at level? Have changes to the game made it easier now at level?
Its also fun to look at the names and see if recognise any of them.
Looking forward to Part 2
Great initaive, Flav 🙂
I looked through my screenshot collection, but I couldnt find the one in which Honour left the Spellswords. Perhaps someone else. I also started another thread in which I posted two rather unique TS screenies in.
As you can see in the screenshots in some I wasn’t caped, in other I was. ( Cap at 10 then… well not for the Carlton Passing it had just been raised to 14 at that time. )
So this part one was the very early days, with a Cap at 10. Vault of Night and Tempest Spine were Endgame content.
Cult of the Six and Southern Excavations were XP Farming chains.
The side cavern in Threnal called Giant Cave was the item farming quest ( 1 minute quest, 1 chest LVL 10. )
Everything was difficult at that time, everything was way tougher, balanced parties was a requirement ( no dungeon scaling so full party was almost mandatory ), the best weapons were +1 vorpals ( quite rare ) or +5 swords ( threnalian warblade )… And Velah was looking like a Saussage.

Oh and we still had the death penalty in XP lost ( the blood red part of the bar in the last screenshot with the UI visible )
Edit for Nath : tried to copy past the whole code ( from page source ) for the above link and it didn’t work *sigh* Firefox 13.0.1 in that case. ( I’ll try another computer in the next few days )
