Hi Guys,
Rinc would like to return at some point to being a proper mage (he’s been doing Warlock recently, to get some past lives). The big question is what does he need to be effective? And what’s a good build these days? My play style used to be to play Rinc as a crowd control wiz – does this still work? Is Pale Master still the way to go? If so, what are the important points here?
He has a few stat tomes and heroic past lives in wiz, sorc, cleric and FvS. He now has 3 iconic past lives in ML. I have a crafter who can craft anything – what’s a good starter set for him?
Thanks in advance!
Lo
Most types of Wizards specialists are fine, just play the one u prefer, CC Wiz r v handy for reaper, Gnome illusionests are nice and ofc PM’s are still viable.
Your off specialist dc’s will more than likely be acceptable for most quests anyway once geared etc…
For end game u have to look at the Slave Lords Sorcery set, then build other caster/named gear around that to max Int, Spell Pen and dc’s.
Would plan first then ask opinions.
Legend covered the bases, most wizards are doing well no matter what type they are. I found that trying to fit in some offensive dps as well as CC is a good way of doing it.
In the end it is DCs that makes your wizard good, no matter which route you go 🙂
