The nice thing about DDO is that there is always something new to learn.

Since I got completionist on Dragavon and levelled him up in what I thought was his final life I have for example learned how good and useful Dire Charge is.

So now I am thinking I want to get 2 more fighter lives on Dragavon for extra tactical feat DC and then rebuild him with what I have learned in mind.

I have for the first time tried Ellisdee’s character builder lite, to post it here for you all to critizise if you want. I have probably made a few errors.

    Please take a look 🙂

    Hey Dag,

Looks like a nice build. I’ve not seen Dire Charge in action, but it sounds good for melee.
I have to admit I enjoyed using Snowslide when running a Druid, affecting several enemies.

The Char builder seems fine, although I didn’t quite follow the “:INT” against all the stats.

    Cheers,
    Molf

    Hi Dag,

Fully understand the Int-basis for the build, but can you elaborate on a few other design choices?

The one that has me scratching my head is the enhancement choices, and all the AP in Harper including choosing the Harper Tier 5s. But I don’t see the Capstone or Moment of Clarity.

Other things that stick out is that you have a lot of sneak attack damage, but no Exposing Strike from DWS, and chose the Good weapon enchantment from Harper instead of the Deception proc?

What kind of DC will you be rocking on Dire Charge? You have the feat, but your missing some easy DC from Legendary Tactics from LD or the Tactician Epic Destiny feat.

Also, the other thing that sticks out to me is your missing out on the Crit bonuses from either Assassin or Tempest/DWS by going full in to Harper.

I don’t want to wade in and say “You’re doing it all wrong!”, because everyone likes there own build and you may have reasons for building your character your way, but I would love to hear more about why you made these particular choices.

Dragavon is a harper. Simple as that 🙂

But I do not consider either harper capstone or MoC particularly useful, with the 5 minute cooldown and all.

I have improved deception on the epic golden guile, I do not think the enhancement would stack with that.

Missing exposing strike and crit damage in tempest is an oversight in an attempt to get more sneak attack dmg than he currently has.

As I say I have only just started using dire charge, and has only tried it on Fernweh. Her DC at the moment is 110, I think I should be able to reach 115+ on Dragavon once I got a couple more fighter lives done and twisting in legendary tactics is also something I would do.

And if you where to tell me I am doing it all wrong I would tell you to shut up 🙂

Both Thambar and Fernweh are in the middle of getting some past lives, but Thambar is my tempest ranger and Fernweh is a deepwood stalker, so I have characters using those abilities too. And when I play any of these characters I do miss abilities from the other two. I just can not get it all on one character 🙂

OK, cool, Harper, I can get with that 🙂

I double checked and the Harper Deception enhancement specifically states Improved deception applies to the Weapon, and as far as I know you can stack that with an Accessory with Improved Deception for two seperate chances to proc. Further, if you have a basic Deception item, such as Strange tidings, all three stack with a seperate chance for each to Proc.

So the only suggetion I would say is try that stacking deception out, and free up 1AP to take Exposing Strike. That way you’ll be able to immediately turn any mob with Exposing Strike and then keep it turned with the three Deception Procs going off!

Other than that, rock on 😉
