New PC build (Self-Build)

Hi ‘swords.
Over the next few days I’ll be building my latest PC which will mean I’m on the game even less than normal. I may not even get my weekend morning questing with the early risers!

Subject to the usual issues of getting everything set up once the basic build is complete and all my software installed, I’m hoping to be back online again by the weekend – fingers crossed.

For the geeks / interested among you, I’ve listed the basic equipment below (some parts being re-used on this self-build).

CPU: Intel i7 8700K “Coffee Lake”, overclocked to 4.8GHz
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H100i V2 water cooler
MoBo: ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero
RAM: 16GB (2×8) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz
GPU: ASUS GTX1080Ti ROG Strix 11GB overclocked
Hard Disk: Samsung 850 EVO 1TB, plus three other ‘standard’ SATA drives (2.5TB).
Case: Nanoxia Deep Silence 5 Black Silent Full Tower
PSU: 850W Corsair RM850i, Full Modular, 80 PLUS Gold
Primary Monitor – ViewSonic XG2703-GS 27inch WQD IPS Gaming Monitor
Secondary Monitor – ViewSonic VP2770-LED 27inch WQHD SuperClear IPS Pro Monitor
Keyboard: Razer BlackWidow Chroma
Mouse: Logitech G502 Proteus gaming mouse
Headset: Hyper X Cloud headset.

I have lots of other gizmos attached but that covers most gear.

It took longer than expected, but I’m back in operation again.

Ryan, according to my wife it’s a few hundred pounds. I’m so lucky to have her 🙂

Unfortunately Lisa, I’ll be holding on to the PC – I need to check my emails somehow ;P
