Returning Player needs help

My friends I need your help.

I played the game just after start up, I think it was 2006.
I stopped playing many years later, say in 2012, then I came back to play 5 years ago for a couple of years then stopped again.

I am back now but things are different.
I am now teaching my daughter to play.
I am blind and playing, is as you can imagine difficult, my screen reader can struggle a lot.
When I am not really sure what is going on and my 7 year old daughter is new to everything.

I have forgotten all the handy tips for playing like keyboard shortcuts.
Do you have any handy tips for organising your screen for play, or setting up keyboard shortcuts.

Also I have lost my log in details for my old account.
I clicked the link for the reminder but I still have not had the email.

Lastly can anyone give me some ideas of what is different now to the old days?

You can define your keyboard shortcuts in main menu / options / key mapping.

Welcome back

The difference now for characters are mainly the enhancement trees and epic destinies, I would recommend looking at both a little on ddo wiki.

The 2 main added expansion packs worth looking at are Ravenloft and Sharn, both will enable you to gear up fairly quickly for end game.
