Thoughts about current lvl 29/30 gearsets

In about 3 weeks we get the IoD expansion with lvl 31 gear that will be slightly stronger than the gear we have today.

They are also saying that there is no legendary reincarnation for the moment. That implies that there will be legendary reincarnations sometime down the line, probably when we get to lvl 36 or 38 is my guess.

So I would hold on to the current lvl 29 gear, we may get some significant mileage out of it later, even if you replace it with gear from IoD for lvl 32.
